The Spring Texas real estate market has seen annual price appreciation of about 3% a year. 2008 will probably be 0% price appreciation. Thus based upon the costs associated with selling your home, realistically you need to live in the home 3 years before you can anticipate breaking even or making a profit. 

I speak in generalities so the only way that I would be able to give you a definitive answer would be by viewing your home,reviewing the comps, and putting together a seller's net sheet.
